| Cherin Award | Spring Conference | An outstanding Deputy or Assistant who has served at least 10 years. | February 15th |
| Finnegan Award | Fall Conference | An individual who has made significant contributions to local government law or to the LGA. | July 15th |
| Special Project Award | Fall Conference | A project which has significant importance to LGA or local government generally. | July 15th |
| Service Awards | Fall Conference | 15, 20, 25 or 30 years of local government service. | July 30th |
| Retiree Recognition | Spring or Fall Conference | A retiring LGA member employed full-time or serving as Chief Legal Counsel for a county, city or town for 15 years or more. | February 15th for Spring Conference July 30th for Fall Conference |
| In Memoriam | Spring or Fall Conference | Any member who died during the previous year. | Feb 15th or July 30th |
